The Visit to Radio Big Fm

Radio Big FM

So its been a good while since the last post by us but I'd say time has kept us busy, The reason that there were no to hardly 2 to 3 posts in the months of December was due to the fact that all of the six reporters including me were busy. Making the competitions on 'The Christmas Quiz' and completing our project 'Alfa' which will be published soon in hardcopy. For now, I have for all my fellow MCGns is what we did on the 23rd of December.

10:25am

We have packed our cartons in which there is Clothes, toiletries, books and other Items. So after packing it, all of us reporters with Kalyani Ma'am left on the bus to reach the station of Radio Big FM 92.7.

11:20am

Well, it's been a good while since we left. The road definitely feels a little more shaky than what we perceived. Anyway we should probably reach there in an hour or so but the traffic of Hyderabad is a haphazard mess that I am not trusting.

12:40pm

So I do know I said we'd reach by 12:40 pm but Nah.... It's been more than 3 hours since we left but we still have not reached. I feel a little Nausea but the others are all enjoying the whole travel at least.
Let's just hope we reach by 12:50 maybe a couple of minutes more.

12:50pm

We just passed the same mall for the third time due to these diversions we can't turn where we want to and hence this is the state. It's almost 1 and I am now waiting to take out my lunch which is ..... let's not talk about that eh?

1:25pm

So after crossing that same mall for the fifth time we have finally reached and man I feel better than ever. The Nausea is gone and now we will meet the RJs of 92.7 big FM. I am excited and so is everyone else, I'd say we were much more excited than nervous at least for me that was the case.

2:10pm

We have entered the Radio station with the two huge boxes filled with stuff. So we are going to be the secret Santa of someone. I feel pleased. We just met the two RJs. RJ Shekhar Basha and RJ Krish both seemed happy to see us here and first of all they interviewed us. You can hear the recordings which went on Air on last Saturday:- https://soundcloud.com/mount-carmel-hyd

2:40pm

The two RJs talked with us about how they ended up with being an RJ, we then cut the cakes we brought and the whole staff of the Radio station enjoyed it. RJ Shekhar even asked all of us what we'd like to become once we grew up. Everyone said different from other and so. Time passed quickly I'd say it just flew away while we stirred into talks about countless of things whether it was the past and future of Radio stations or the fact that we all of the school children with us helped us to become a Santa for someone, someone who is not privileged enough to get these things. As time waved clear we bid goodbye to two RJs and the whole staff of The studio. I felt amazing and happy about this little Secret Santa event.

3:00pm

Though we did have some fun in there we totally forgot the time. Uh! its 3 on my watch over here and we should have been in school by now, but we could not have neglected or stopped the RJs from talking to us and sharing their feelings so it was worth it. We decided that because we won't we able to reach there in a few 30 minutes so we just said we'll drop all the reporters home and luckily it worked well. We dropped Shreya then Hanok and then Varsha, we then caught up with 5 number bus which was Isha's regular bus, we stopped that bus and Isha went in. Now we were heading home because my home is close to the school and Virinchi's mother will be in the school.

3:45pm

So now everyone is dropped and we are heading towards school

4:00pm

We told Principal Ma'am about our little adventure and then i headed home-by walking-which is close. I walked home soaking in the whole atmosphere and reached within minutes. Hasn't this been a great adventure? eh?

Thanks for joining me on the Diary-Article thing and As always thanks for reading

In the future

In the future, I think we will have flying cars,  super-fast bikes. So ,we will not only look sideways but also all around us to cross the roads ,as there will be flying cars super-fast bikes lightning fast Trains and also private plane cars .  People will have houses On mars or any other planet or it can be any other galaxy. The new technologies will open up more walls for the people to move from place to place. There will appear faster trains even then the bullet trains. The airports will use different kinds of planes. They will be smaller, but faster. You will be able to cross all over the world just for couple of hours.I have some pictures of some futuristic vehicles for you to see and enjoy.

INKING ON INK...

Example of handwriting with gold pen
When was the last time you wrote a letter to a loved one or friend?
In the days of cell phones, email, and text messages, letter writing can seem hopelessly outdated. But it’s an art worth bringing back,
Image result for writing in inkWriting with ink on papers was started by the ancient Chinese and Egypt 4500 years ago.
For making ink they either mixed soot or used lampblack with gum to made a hard stick This stick of ink was first dipped
Image result for chinese in blocksin water to make Impressions. In order to obtain ink of various colors they used minerals ,berries and plant juices. The Chinese used brushes to write in ink , they were also first in using ink on wooden blocks for printing.

The writing and reception of letters will always offer an experience that modern technology cannot touch. Technology MAY BE fantastic for quick exchanges on the most pertinent pieces of information. But when it comes toempathy , sharing one’s true thoughts, sincere sympathies, ardent love, and deepest gratitude, words traveling along an invisible superhighway will never suffice. Why?  Because sending a letter is the next best thing to showing up personally at someone’s door.

Related imageStart Writing…
Traditional letters tend to be more thoughtful and original than email correspondence and twitter updates. Email, Facebook, and Twitter and are great ways to send quick updates to people. But getting a letter in the mail is almost like having a good friend stop by AT YOUR  house for coffee.
All you need to get started is regular paper, a few envelopes, a pen, stamps, and you’ll be good to go.

Letter writing is a lost art and we should bring it back into style. It’s one way to show gratitude and love in a very busy world.

FOOTBALL MATCH IN THE RAIN

Image result for football in the rain clipart
Tup.... Tup..... Tup..... The raindrops fell from the sky as I am playing football. I run at full speed and suddenly slip and fall down. Splash! I'm all wet! Still I don't stop playing, and continue th match. It started raining really heavily then, and I was soon soaked with water. Still, I was having fun. This was one of my favourite things to do. The grass was so slippery that I was falling hundreds of times and was becoming dirty. But I didn't care, and was still playing. Soon everybody left. But I was not done playing in the rain. I didn't want to miss this rare oppurtunity as it doesn't rain too much in Hyderabad. I started to kick the ball into the goal from a distance. I missed but I didn't stop trying. I kicked again and again and was falling down in almost every shot. But in some time, I got the right aim. Just then it stopped raining. I was going home when my friends came back again. So, we continued our match.

FOR THE BOOK WORMS............

Image result for book worm s
Unlike what I do every single time, this time I wanted to do something different. I pick up a topic and get on a rant about it. But this time I wanted to uphold a review. Basically, on some books I read during the holidays. To be honest I am a much more "teenage love fantasy fan" but I also do read classics and Sci-fi books so here are my recommendations:- (you might get them for cheap or free with Kindle)

1. Frankenstein:- I think most of the adults reading this would have already read about the excruciatingly sad tale of Dr. Victor who made a Monster. I read un abridged version by Om illustrated classics. Even though it has been so long since it first came out. To be frank it has aged pretty well. I also found it baffling the fact that most people just know the name but haven't read this book. It might be a bit too harsh for the younger audience as the book deals with depressing sentiments. So I would recommend it for a bit older audience between the age of 11-14. I would rate this book about a 8.9/10
Pros:- Timeless classic, great story       Cons :- A little too sad

2.Time machine:- Huh.. God! I didn’t know why I was choosing devilishly depressing books before , but none the good ones like this . I chose this book by mistake. I started looking for a wimpy kid book. I by mistake took this one for rent and there I was during the weekend sitting alone in my study for a good time with a wimpy kid book , and I open the bag and I get this. Having no option I read it and for the next two hours I enjoyed reading it and dwelled deep down into the life of The time traveler who believes he has made a time machine. . So I wouldn't spoil anything about this book. It was simply Ineffable. I would give it about a 10/10

Our resources

Image result for save resources save earthNowadays we are using petroleum and its derivatives a lot now we can find them but in future??? This is a question for us all so we need to conserve petroleum and its derivatives. We can use alternative sources instead of petroleum and its derivatives this would be a very nice way to conserve petroleum and its derivatives.
There are many alternative sources of energy some of them are
1. Solar energy
Sun's seat and light energy can be felt by us everyday . Solar energy trapped from the sun can be used in solar cells to produce electricity.
Many of these cells are joined into solar panels to generate power for heating and lighting purpose. The technology of utilising solar energy benefits a lot of tropical countries that are blessed with abundant Sunshine solar energy is also used in solar heater , solar cooker , solar dryers besides being used for community lighiting a traffic signals.
Its Advantages
Inexhaustible
Non polluting
Its Disadvantage
Expensive
Difused source, so gets wasted
2.Wind energy
Wind is an inexhaustible source of energy. Wind has been used for grinding grains and lifting water since times immemorial. In Modern Time wind mill , the high speed winds rotate the windmill which is connected to a generator to produce electricity. Wind farms having clusters of such windmills are located in coastal regions and in Mountain passing a strong and steady winds blow
Advantages of wind energy
Non polluting
Low cost production of electricity once set up
Safe and clean
Disadvantage of wind energy
pollution
Wind mills are costly to setup
disturb radio and TV reception
harmful to birds
3.Geothermal energy
Heat energy obtained from the earth is called geothermal energy . The temperature in the interior of the earth Rises steadily as we go deeper. Sometimes this heat energy may surface itself in the form of hot springs. This heat energy can be used to generate power geothermal energy in the form of hot Springs has been used for cooking heating and bathing for several years.

Advantages of geothermal energy
Clean and eco friendly and always available
Disadvantage of geothermal energy
Located far away from the cities and so costly to transport
Tidal energy
Energy generated from tides is called tidal energy. Tidal energy can be hardness by building dams at narrow openings of the sea. During high tide the energy of the tide is used to turn the turbine installed in the dam to produce electricity.
Advantages of tidal energy
 non polluting
inexhaustible
Disadvantage of tidal energy
Destroys wildlife habitat
Difficult to harness
Now it is up to you to save environment. But those all are difficult for children so we can start being simpler. Let us have a discussion on this I will write my ideas and it will it is up to you to think alternative to save environment
Here are some ideas for is by me and my friend Akshitha
We have written all about conserve materials at house

Image result for save resources save earth·         old shirts ( also t shirts) can we made into bags ( to know how wait till my next post
·         Leaves and organic matter can be turned into compost and can be used for plants
·         Times of holi and vegetable and flowers can be used instead of chemical colors
·         Last but not least say no to plastic and use jute and cotton bags instead

If you have any alternative ways , please share with us to save our environment

Stars…Stars…Everywhere…

Every night all of us look up in the sky and see stars. Well some of us don't even have enough time to look up and around and admire nature and some of us are day dreamers we look up in the sky and start imagining things. Well, stars are so unique in themselves that there are several stories (legends) about them.
Image result for dark blue stars background
O.k. I know I know…. this is a studious blog and we are not going to go deep inside the legends instead into realms of Science!!! Let us know a little bit more about stars. A star is a luminous object (in fact the glow of these stars reflects on the moon which makes it appear as if it has its own light) and it rotates and revolves around the pole star. Have you ever wondered why the planets and stars don't fall off out of the sky? Well the answer is simple it is because of gravity. In fact I think that almost all of us know that how in the olden days people used to connect stars and make shapes out of them, these shapes used to guide them the right way and they would never get lost. Lucky us now we have GPS and smart phones!! These shapes are now termed as constellations. Some famous constellations are the Saptarishi or big dipper, the Cassiopeia, Leo Major and Orion. I hope all of you know these constellations if not then what are you waiting for go and find out more about it, we are living in an advanced technological generation, right???
Image result for girl looking at shooting starsLet us go back to stars I'm sure most of us know the popular stars like "North star (pole star), Sirius, etc, (end of my thinking capacity)!!!! Oh, I almost forgot our sun too is a star and there are many more stars that are hotter, bigger and brighter than our Sun. I wonder that if none of the astronauts could come near the sun then who will be the first astronaut to come near (no don't come near take a selfie beside it!) a bigger one. It's definitely not going to be me!!! Stars can be fun too, Many astrological predictors run their business on the basis of stars and planets and several people have made beautiful crafts On stars too like the beautiful painting " The starry night" done by Mr. Vincent van Gogh. I would like to end this essay by Questioning me that how would our life be without stars? It's quite impossible to imagine the sky so dull in that way. I hope I inspired you enough to go out there with your imaginations and creativity in full swing and learn more about these beautiful twinkle twinkle little…J!!!
