Every
night all of us look up in the sky and see stars. Well some of us don't even
have enough time to look up and around and admire nature and some of us are day
dreamers we look up in the sky and start imagining things. Well, stars are so
unique in themselves that there are several stories (legends) about them.
O.k.
I know I know…. this is a studious blog and we are not going to go deep inside
the legends instead into realms of Science!!! Let us know a little bit more
about stars. A star is a luminous object (in fact the glow of these stars
reflects on the moon which makes it appear as if it has its own light) and it
rotates and revolves around the pole star. Have you ever wondered why the
planets and stars don't fall off out of the sky? Well the answer is simple it
is because of gravity. In fact I think that almost all of us know that how in
the olden days people used to connect stars and make shapes out of them, these
shapes used to guide them the right way and they would never get lost. Lucky us
now we have GPS and smart phones!! These shapes are now termed as
constellations. Some famous constellations are the Saptarishi or big dipper,
the Cassiopeia, Leo Major and Orion. I hope all of you know these constellations
if not then what are you waiting for go and find out more about it, we are
living in an advanced technological generation, right???
Let us go back to
stars I'm sure most of us know the popular stars like "North star (pole
star), Sirius, etc, (end of my thinking capacity)!!!! Oh, I almost forgot our
sun too is a star and there are many more stars that are hotter, bigger and
brighter than our Sun. I wonder that if none of the astronauts could come near
the sun then who will be the first astronaut to come near (no don't come near
take a selfie beside it!) a bigger one. It's definitely not going to be me!!!
Stars can be fun too, Many astrological predictors run their business on the
basis of stars and planets and several people have made beautiful crafts On
stars too like the beautiful painting " The starry night" done by Mr.
Vincent van Gogh. I would like to end this essay by Questioning me that how
would our life be without stars? It's quite impossible to imagine the sky so
dull in that way. I hope I inspired you enough to go out there with your
imaginations and creativity in full swing and learn more about these beautiful
twinkle twinkle little…J!!!
