Hindi is our National Language and we all should be proud of it.Hindi is also called as a ‘link language’, which connects the united India.September 14, 1949, was when Hindi was adopted as the official language of the Constituent Assembly.
Hindi Diwas is celebrated all through the India to show the importance of Hindi language in the country. The Hindi language in India has a big history which belongs to the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-European language family. After being an independent country, the Government of India made a goal to standardize the mother tongue means the Hindi language with the grammar and orthography. Devanagari script is used to bring uniformity in writingIt is spoken in many countries of the world including Mauritius, Pakistan, Surinam, Trinidad and some other countries. It is the language spoken as a mother tongue by around 258 million people and known as the 4th largest language of the world.

It is celebrated as an event every year on 14th of September, because the Hindi language (written in Devanagari script) was first adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the official language of the Republic of India on 14th of September in 1949. The decision of using Hindi language as an official language of India was legalized by the Constitution of India (which came into effect on 26th of January in 1950). According to the Constitution of India, Hindi language written in Devanagari script was first adopted as the official language of India under the Article 343.
And with an aim to rekindle the love for India’s official language among us students, we celebrated 'Hindi Diwas' for one week and to show their appreciation towards the national language we had special assembly and various activities for Grade 1-X such as Fancy Dress competition , Hindi poem recitation, Doha Recitation, Elocution , Poster making .
