My First Day Of School
I've
got a brand-new lunchbox.
My
shoes are shiny clean.
I've
got a cool, new bookbag
And
a pencil box that's green.
But
I don't know my teacher,
Or
where my desk will be.
I
don't know if I'll like the kids.
Or
if they'll play with me.
I
peek inside my classroom.
I
stand there for a while.
My
teacher tall and kind of loud,
But
has a great big smile.
And,
beast of all, she's got my
Favourite
book upon the shelf!
I
kiss my mother at the door
And
walk in by myself.

A POEM ON MY SCHOOL
MY SCHOOL DAYS
When I hung my bag on my back.
When I walked on the fresh sand through the
playground.
When I held my horse for the
teacher to enter and teach
When I tried to bare the boring
period and make the interesting
When I tried to perform my best
When I and my friends
went
together for sports chating.
sharing and caring.
When I went back from the
school to the place from where
I came.

MY SCHOOL DAYS
Seeing the teacher so firm
from the window
glass.
Just when I hoped this day of fear would pass,
The teacher said ‘Children
lets go play
in the grass’.
Meeting new people just sitting on the bench
Called them friends
because they never made me
flinch.
Shared secrets in every
hour of lunch
Had fights starting with a hard punch.
Alphabets to Algebra , learning them with a craze
Doing homework just to
earn teacher’s praise
Building myself to set future in good
ways,
I cherish every moment because
they are never
coming back school days

Master Thinker's Column
Is tech really spoiling us?
Hey guys! Its the Master Thinker. Today, I'm talking about tech. Before I start, I have a question. Imagine you are stranded on an island, what would you want to have --- A phone or books? I guess most of you might have taken a phone. Our present-generation phone has almost everything. And though this gives us advantages, we use it wrongly. We get addicted to tech. Before you read more, just think honestly, how many hours of TV do you watch? How many hours of computer games do you play? How many hours you spend on social media? According to me, tech does spoil us. There are so many people who are addicted. They need to talk, they call. They want food, they order. Now, email-id's are mandatory. For everything, you need tech now.
Well, I've given my opinion and now its time to give your's. Do you think I'm right or not? Please give your comments and opinions below. EMPECEMOS! (Let's get started!)

English Carnival ~~~ our literary festival
MCGS literary festival was organised by the school
in March to encourage budding literary talent among the students .There were
different events such as creative writing, Pictionary , Role play , Drama, Dramatic reading(Book explorer) and art.
The festival was themed “English Carnival”. It Really helped us students
in enhancing the diverse thinking among us and helping to boost our creative spirit and imagination, Students
from Class I-X enthusiastically participated in the event.

Walking the
portals of English literature, the students excelled in events like “Apprentice
” and “Brouchere making”. Students spoke impromptu in ‘Public speaking’ proving
that expression of thoughts is indeed an art too, if provided with a proper
platform.
Vocabulary
games like ‘Pictionary’ made words fun to learn and easier to remember for
other students thereby, strengthening their reading and listening abilities.
The fest thus
helped children enter into the world of literary characters and thereby add a
literary flavor through the different artistic presentation.
my memories of last year A Timeline for Academic year 2017 -18
Month March/April.
- We had Orientation(MCGns & Parents) for classes IX & X .I think they counselled the parents and the students . Me and my schoolmates were trying to look inside , but as I am going to class XI no need for me peek again next session.
- We had earth day me and my friends celebrated by taking oath on saving mother earth .
- A mime or mime artist is someone who uses mime as a theatrical medium or as a performance art, involving miming, or the acting out a story through body motions, without use of speech. In earlier times, in English, such a performer would typically be referred to as a mummer. Miming is to be distinguished from silent comedy, in which the artist is a seamless character in a film or sketch. We had MIME-"Swachita" we had raging mimes from classes VII to X who all had their own thought to convey for the increasing pollution in India.
- Last but not least ,we always have to thank our support staff to keep our temple of learning clean and pave way for the success of this institution.
Month June
- We celebrated the World Environment Day with earthly experience , we exchanged our thought that earth is not ours how our before generations passed down to us we must pass as a gift to our successors and we must keep it clean.

- Most important day of the year the Prefect Body Nomination Filing . This day we saw the leaders who are going to lead our contingent . We saw our year with them they were a fantastic team.
- We celebrated Id-Ul Fitr festival with great shininess of bright faces and hearts.

- To show our patriotism to India we MCGns were asked to crack our nationalism through Patriotic Singing (groups) to revel who are the true Indians.
- To sail through such events we need someone to lead us . In other words we call them Comparers . So our incharges held an audition to see who is going to compare us in future events .
Month September
- To celebrate the importance of The national language Hindi we celebrated Hindi Diwas we had an Hindi assembly. The day showed us how beautiful is our national language.
- For all the calligraphers in our school we were held a competition to check who could be the next William Morris.
- In respect to Kabir das and Sur das we had a Doha competition . It was rather interesting of the variety dohas and their meaning.
- As teachers are our gods there should be a festival to celebrate it so we enjoyed teachers day in a grand manner.
